107 Days To Go!

✈️ Passport Information for Our Wedding

If you're traveling internationally to join us for the big day—yay! We’re so excited to celebrate with you. If you don’t already have a valid passport (or need to renew one), here’s everything you need to know.

🕒 How Long Does It Take?

We recommend applying as early as possible!

Standard processing: 6–8 weeks

Expedited processing: 2–3 weeks (for an extra fee)

You can also pay for express shipping of your completed passport.

🆕 New Passport Applications

If this is your first time getting a passport, you’ll need:

Proof of U.S. citizenship (like a birth certificate)

A government-issued photo ID (like a driver's license)

A passport photo (available at most post offices, CVS, Walgreens, AAA, etc.)

Completed Form DS-11

To start the process and read full instructions, visit:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html

🔁 Renewing a Passport

You may be able to renew your passport by mail if:

Your previous passport is undamaged

It was issued when you were age 16 or older

It was issued within the last 15 years

It’s in your current name (or you have documents to prove a name change)

Check eligibility and renewal instructions at:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew.html

👶 Passports for Children (Under Age 16)

Children need their own passports—even babies!

Must apply in person

Both parents or legal guardians must be present, or one must provide a notarized consent form

Child passports are valid for 5 years

Learn more here:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/under-16.html

⚖️ For Separated or Divorced Parents

If both parents can’t be present when applying for a child’s passport:

The parent not attending must provide Form DS-3053, a notarized consent form

If one parent has sole custody, you must provide legal documentation (like a court order)

Details here:

📍 Where to Apply

First-time applicants and children must apply in person.

Find a nearby passport acceptance facility (like a post office or county clerk’s office):
